Nigerian gift cards: mobile games and social apps

Nigeria is a mobile shelf. There are no console cards on it, and the cards it does have are priced in dollars rather than naira, because the platforms behind them sell in dollars everywhere.

What's on it

Free Fire top-ups at $1, $2, $5, $10 and $20. Honor of Kings from $0.20 up to $99.99 in a long ladder of small steps. Bigo Live at $1, $3, $5, $10, $25, $50 and $100. Jawaker at $1.50, $24 and $135. GoCash from $5 to $100. Discord Nitro at $9.99 and $99.99, and Deezer Premium at $32.99 and $65.99.

Dollar face values change the usual advice

Because these cards are denominated in dollars, the face value and the price are in the same currency and there's no exchange rate to think about. What matters instead is the account, and for top-ups that means the player ID rather than the country.

Get the ID wrong and the credit lands on a stranger's account, which nothing can reverse. Game top-ups and your player ID is short and worth the two minutes.

Which size to pick

For Free Fire, the small ones are the point. $1 and $2 top-ups exist so you can buy the thing you actually want instead of a bundle five times the size, and they arrive as a code like anything else.

Honor of Kings goes finer still, starting at $0.20, which is the smallest denomination in the shop. GoCash takes the opposite approach: one card, many games, in $5 steps up to $100, which is useful when you don't know what the player wants.

No console cards

No PlayStation, Xbox or Nintendo for Nigeria.

Console accounts registered in Nigeria are uncommon, because most platforms don't run a Nigerian store either. If you game on a console, your account is probably registered elsewhere, usually South Africa, the UK or the US, and all three have proper console shelves. Find your PlayStation account region will tell you which in about two minutes.

Whatever you buy, the code shows up within seconds and the Loot Guarantee covers it if it doesn't work.
