Making a PlayStation account for another country

Some games, sales or subscriptions are cheaper or arrive earlier in another country's store. A second PSN account in that country is the usual answer.

The steps

1. Sign out, then create a new account and choose the country you want.
2. Use a date of birth that makes the account an adult account.
3. Sign in on your console and set it as a user.
4. Buy a card for that same country and redeem it on that account.

Worth knowing

• Games bought on that account are tied to it.
• Your trophies and friends stay on your main account.
• Buy the card for the country you actually chose, not the one you live in.
