Buying PlayStation gift cards in Zimbabwe with EcoCash
There is no PlayStation store for Zimbabwe, so you buy for the country your PSN account was registered in and pay for it here with EcoCash.
The PlayStation Store will not take a Zimbabwean bank card, and there is no Zimbabwean PlayStation store to take it to. That is the whole problem, and a gift card is the whole answer.

You are not asking Sony to accept EcoCash. You are buying a voucher for the store your account already belongs to, paying for the voucher here, and spending the balance there.
Your account is probably South African
PlayStation accounts made in this part of the world usually ended up registered in South Africa, because it is the nearest region with a full catalogue. Plenty of others are UK or US, often because someone picked a country off the list years ago and never thought about it again.
Which one it is decides which card works, and it cannot be changed later. Find your PlayStation account region takes two minutes on the console or in a browser. Do it before you pay, not after.
What buying actually looks like
Set that country at the top of the page and the shop stops showing you cards that would not redeem. Pick the size you want from PlayStation Store, choose EcoCash at checkout, and type your number as 07XXXXXXXX.
Your phone gets a prompt. You enter your PIN. The order page moves by itself the moment the money lands, and the code appears on screen and in your Loot Vault.
We do not email codes, which means nobody can read one out of your inbox. Paying with EcoCash covers the prompt that never arrives and what to do about it.
Redeeming it
On the console, or at playstation.com, you enter the voucher code and the balance goes into the account's wallet. How to redeem a PlayStation code has the exact menus.
The balance then buys games, add-ons and most things on that store. Subscriptions are the exception worth knowing about: PlayStation sometimes wants a card on file for a recurring plan even when there is wallet money sitting there, so buy a PlayStation Plus card for the term rather than trying to fund an auto-renew.
The one mistake that cannot be undone
A South African card does not redeem on a UK account. We cannot override that, and once a code has been revealed there is no putting it back. The Loot Guarantee replaces a code that genuinely fails; it cannot rescue one typed into the wrong country's store.
That is why the region is confirmed again at checkout, and why find your PlayStation region is worth the two minutes.
If the price is awkward
Balances stack. Two small cards land in the same wallet as one big one, so an odd total is not a reason to buy up a size and strand the difference. Cards here do not expire either, which matters if you are putting money aside for a release that is still weeks away.
You can also top up your Gemworks wallet once and shop from it over a few days, which suits people who would rather convert money in one go.
Where to start
PlayStation cards for South African accounts is the busiest shelf in the shop. The UK and the US are both there too, and all regions shows every country we currently carry.
