Keeping your codes safe
Why we encrypt codes, ask you to sign in again, and never email them.
A gift card code is cash. Anyone who reads it can spend it, so we treat it that way.
What we do
- Codes are encrypted in our database. They're only decrypted when you open one.
- Codes are never sent by email or WhatsApp.
- For older orders we ask you to sign in again before showing a code.
- Every time a code is opened, we record it.
What you can do
- Don't screenshot codes into group chats.
- Don't open a code until you're ready to redeem it.
- Use a password you don't use anywhere else, or sign in with Google.
- If you think someone else has been in your account, change your password and use Sign out on all devices in settings.
