Battlefield 6 Season 5: Vegas, Area 51 and Rapid Royale
Season 5 starts on 13 October with three new maps, Ranked Battle Royale and a faster REDSEC. What is in it, and how to pay for the pass from here.
Season 5 starts on 13 October 2026 and moves Battlefield 6 to Las Vegas. It is the largest set of new modes the game has had since release.

The modes
Rapid Royale arrives with the season in Trios and Solos, a shorter battle royale built around tighter circles and far more shooting. Ranked Battle Royale also launches properly, so REDSEC finally has a ladder.
Operation High Roller is the season's headline operation, and there is a Dead Space event running over Halloween.
Maps and kit
Three new maps, including the Vegas Strip and Area 51, plus reworked Blackwell Fields and New Sobek City. Six weapons and two vehicles come with the season.
Platoons and multiplayer leaderboards land at the same time. Platoons is the quiet one worth noticing: if you play with the same four people every night, your squad finally keeps an identity between sessions instead of dissolving at the lobby screen.
Paying for the pass
The battle pass and the bundles are bought with platform currency, so you top up the wallet on whatever you play on and buy from there.

For PlayStation 5, that is a PlayStation Store card, which we stock for South Africa, the UK and the US. On Xbox we carry UK cards. On PC, if you own the game through Steam, a Steam wallet card for the US or the UK does it.
Which region you buy is decided by your account, not by which price looks nicest. Converted into local money the regions land closer together than people expect, and a card for the wrong country simply will not redeem.
How much to put on
A pass is the normal seasonal spend. Operations and bundles sit on top of that, and they will keep arriving for weeks.
Top up for the pass, play a fortnight, then work out whether any bundle is worth it. There is no advantage to owning everything on day one, and a season that runs into December gives you plenty of time to change your mind.
Worth checking first
The country on your account. Two minutes with the PlayStation or Steam guide, and then set that region at the top of the page so you only see cards that work.
